Day 1: Marrakesh → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Agdz

​

• Drive time: ~6-7 hours

• Highlights:
  • Cross the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains (2260m)
  • Visit UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah Ait Benhaddou
  • Explore Ouarzazate – the “Hollywood of Morocco”
  • Drive along the Draa Valley with its palm groves and ancient kasbahs

Included: Dinner, overnight in Agdz guesthouse or kasbah.

Day 2: Agdz → M’hamid El Ghizlane

• Drive time: ~5-6 hours (includes ~2 hours off-road)

• Highlights:
  • Visit Tamgroute, famous for its green pottery and ancient Koranic library
  • Arrive in M’hamid El Ghizlane, gateway to the Sahara
  • Walk around the village center and visit the camel caravan area

Day 3: M’hamid → Erg Chegaga Dunes

• Drive time: ~3-4 hours off-road

• Highlights:
  • Off-road 4WD adventure through desert plateaus and dunes
  • Arrive at Erg Chegaga – Morocco’s largest dunes (up to 300m)
  • Optional camel ride at sunset
  • Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner under the stars

Day 4: Erg Chegaga → M’hamid → Ouarzazate

• Drive time: ~6-7 hours (includes ~3 hours off-road)

• Highlights:

  • Return via M’hamid to Ouarzazate

Included: Dinner, overnight in riad or guesthouse in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate → Marrakesh

• Drive time: ~6-7 hours

• Highlights:
  • Scenic drive back across the High Atlas Mountains
  • Stops for panoramic views and visits to local argan oil cooperatives
  • Arrive in Marrakesh by late afternoon
