Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary



Day 1 – Arrival in Casablanca


Arrival at Mohammed V International Airport.

Meet and greet by your driver/guide and private transfer to your hotel.

Depending on arrival time, orientation walk along the Corniche.


Overnight: Casablanca

Meals: Dinner at kosher restaurant



Day 2 – Casablanca: Jewish Heritage Exploration


• Visit the Museum of Moroccan Judaism, the only Jewish museum in the Arab world

• Explore the Jewish quarter and notable synagogues (exterior visits where appropriate)

• Visit the Jewish cemetery of Casablanca

• Optional visit to Hassan II Mosque (exterior)

Day 3 – Casablanca to Rabat


Drive to Rabat, Morocco’s capital city.

• Visit the Kasbah of the Udayas

• Explore Rabat’s Jewish heritage sites, including the former mellah

• Visit the Jewish cemetery of Rabat

• Discover key landmarks such as Hassan Tower and Royal Palace (exterior)

Day 4 – Rabat to Fes (Jewish Heritage En Route)


Depart Rabat and travel toward Fes.

• Stop at Meknes for an overview of Jewish history in the region

• Continue to Fes, spiritual and cultural heart of Moroccan Judaism

Day 5 – Fes: Jewish & Cultural Exploration


• Guided visit of the Fes Mellah

• Visit the Jewish Cemetery and the tomb of Rabbi Solica Hatchuel

• Explore historic synagogues (Ibn Danan Synagogue when accessible)

• Continue into the ancient Fes Medina (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

Day 6 – Fes to Sefrou: Jewish Heritage


Excursion to Sefrou, once known as “Little Jerusalem.”

• Explore the former Jewish quarter

• Learn about Jewish life and coexistence in this important town

• Return to Fes in the afternoon

Day 7 – Fes to Erfoud via Midelt

Scenic journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains.

• Stop in Midelt, historically home to Jewish merchants and traders

• Continue through Ziz Valley palm oases to Erfoud

Meals: Breakfast and dinner



Day 8 – Erfoud to Merzouga: Sahara Experience


• Visit Jewish heritage sites in Erfoud, once home to a thriving Jewish community

• Continue to Merzouga

• Camel ride into the Sahara dunes at sunset

• Traditional dinner and music under the stars


Overnight: Sahara Desert Camp

Meals: Breakfast and dinner



Day 9 – Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

• Sunrise in the Sahara

• Drive toward Todra Gorge, learning about Jewish presence in southern oasis towns

• Continue through the Dades Valley, once connected to Jewish trading routes


Overnight: Dades Valley

Meals: Breakfast and dinner



Day 10 – Dades – Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – Marrakech


• Drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs

• Visit Aït Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

• Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass

• Arrival in Marrakech

Day 11 – Marrakech: Jewish Heritage Tour


• Guided visit of the Mellah of Marrakech

• Visit Slat Al Azama Synagogue

• Explore the Jewish Cemetery (Miâara Cemetery)

• Visit Bahia Palace and surrounding historic sites


Overnight: Marrakech



Day 12 – Marrakech City Sightseeing

• Explore the Medina and souks

• Visit Koutoubia Mosque (exterior), Saadian Tombs, and Jemaa el-Fna Square

• Free time in the afternoon


Overnight: Marrakech



Day 13 – Essaouira: Jewish Coastal Heritage


Day trip to Essaouira, historically home to a large Jewish population.

• Explore the Jewish quarter and synagogues

• Visit the Jewish cemetery overlooking the Atlantic

• Meet members of the local Jewish community if possible

• Return to Marrakech in the evening

Day 14 – Marrakech at Leisure & La Mamounia

Free day in Marrakech.

• Visit La Mamounia Hotel for a drink or lunch (optional)

• Leisure time for shopping, hammam, or relaxation

Day 15 – Departure


Transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport for departure.

End of services.
